Step-by-step export guide

1

Log in to TalkingParents

Open the TalkingParents app on your phone or visit talkingparents.com in your browser. Sign in with your email and password.

2

Go to Account Settings

Tap the menu icon (three lines, usually top-left on mobile or top-right on web). Select 'Account' or 'Settings' from the menu.

3

Find the Data Export option

Scroll down to find 'Export Data' or 'Download My Data'. TalkingParents may label this as 'Request Your Data' or 'Data Download'. If you don't see it, check under Privacy or Data Management.

4

Request your data export

TalkingParents often requires you to request an export rather than downloading immediately. Click 'Request Export' and select the data types you want: Messages, Call Logs, and Calendar. Choose 'All time' for the date range.

5

Wait for the export email

TalkingParents processes export requests and emails you a download link. This usually takes 15 minutes to a few hours, depending on data volume. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for an email from TalkingParents.

6

Download the export file

Click the download link in the email. The export typically comes as a JSON or PDF file. Save it to your device where you can find it.

7

Upload to CoParentOS

Go to your CoParentOS Dashboard → Import, select TalkingParents as your platform, and upload the export file. We'll parse your messages, call logs, and calendar events and show you a preview.

Pro tips

  • Request early. TalkingParents exports can take hours. Start the process the day before you plan to import.
  • Check spam. The export email sometimes lands in spam or promotions. Search for "TalkingParents" in all folders.
  • Recorded calls are metadata only. The export includes call dates, durations, and participants — not audio files. For recorded call audio, you may need to contact TalkingParents support directly.
  • JSON is preferred. If given the option, choose JSON format for the cleanest data import.
