AppClose makes exporting your data straightforward. Most exports generate instantly. Here's how to download your records.

Step-by-step export guide
Open the AppClose app
Launch the AppClose app on your phone. Make sure you're signed in with your account credentials.

Open AppClose on your phone and sign in to your account.
Go to Settings
Tap the menu icon (three lines or your profile picture) in the top corner. Select 'Settings' from the menu.

Tap the menu icon and select Settings from the list.
Find Export Data
Scroll down in Settings until you see 'Export Data', 'Download Data', or 'Data & Privacy'. Tap to open the export options.

Scroll down in Settings to find Export Data or Data & Privacy.
Select data to export
AppClose will show options for Messages, Expenses, and Calendar. Check all three for a complete migration. Select 'All time' as the date range.

Choose export format
Select JSON format for the cleanest import. CSV is also supported if JSON isn't available. Tap 'Export' or 'Download' to generate your file.

Choose JSON format and tap Export to generate your file.
Save the export file
AppClose generates the export immediately in most cases. Save the file to your device — either to your Files app (iOS) or Downloads folder (Android).

Upload to CoParentOS
Go to your CoParentOS Dashboard → Import, select AppClose as your platform, and upload the export file. We'll parse your messages, expenses, and calendar events and show you a preview.

Pro tips
- JSON is best. AppClose supports JSON and CSV exports. Choose JSON for the cleanest data import with all fields preserved.
- Export everything. Even if you don't think you need all categories, export them all. You can choose what to import in CoParentOS later.
- Export from the parent account. Make sure you're signed into the account that has access to the records you want to export.
- No duplicates. CoParentOS detects records you've already imported and skips them automatically.
