Export guide

Export from Our Children

Our Children Australia provides export tools through the web dashboard, but exports may come as basic PDF files and attachments may not be included. Start with category exports rather than one large all-history file.

Large export warning: if Our Children shows a PDF generation error, use the individual category buttons instead of exporting everything at once. The export screen may not include date-range controls.
Attachment note: Our Children category PDFs may not include uploaded attachments. Save important attachments separately and upload them to CoParentOS as evidence or documents.
Better option: use the browser-assisted capture tool from your own logged-in browser. It avoids sharing your Our Children password with CoParentOS and captures the pages you can already access.

Step-by-step export guide

1

Log in to Our Children

Go to ourchildren.com.au and sign in with your email and password. The export process works from the web dashboard — not the mobile app.

2

Navigate to Account Settings

Click on your profile icon or name in the top-right corner. Select 'Account Settings' or 'My Account' from the dropdown menu.

3

Find the Data Export section

Look for the Export page in account settings. Our Children shows category buttons such as Communications, Calendar, Information Bank, Email Mailbox, Financial Matters, and Export All.

4

Use category exports

Export each section separately. The Export All option can time out on large accounts, and the screen may not provide date-range controls to split a large history.

5

Download category PDFs

Click each category button and save the generated PDF. These exports may be basic styled PDFs rather than clean spreadsheet or JSON files.

6

Save files and attachments

Save each PDF to your device. If attachments are not included in the export, download or screenshot important attachments separately so they can be uploaded into your CoParentOS evidence vault.

7

Upload to CoParentOS

Go to your CoParentOS Dashboard -> Import, select 'Our Children' as your platform, and upload any structured export for preview. For category PDFs, screenshots, missing attachments or broken Export All errors, use Concierge import.

Pro tips

  • Use the web dashboard. Our Children's export tool is available through the web interface at ourchildren.com.au, not the mobile app.
  • Break up large histories. If an all-history export fails, export each available category separately. Our Children may not offer date-range controls, so category PDFs are the practical fallback.
  • Keep attachments separately. If attachments are missing from the PDF export, download or screenshot the important ones before closing the old account.
  • Check your email. Some exports are delivered by email rather than direct download. Check spam if you don't see it within 5 minutes.
  • Save the error. If the export crashes, keep the error text or screenshot. It helps support and gives us a clear fallback path for a concierge migration.
  • Use browser capture where exports fail. If Our Children blocks a full export or leaves out attachments, use the CoParentOS browser capture tool to save reviewable JSON from each logged-in category page.
